Philosophy of Counseling
Franklin D. Roosevelt once said, "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself." We all have things we are afraid of; such as fear of encountering our past, fear of the future, fear of our own emotions, fear of change, to name a few. Sometimes these fears take a stronghold in our lives and impact our ability to function in a negative way. Counseling creates an opportunity to meet with someone who can look at a situation from an outside perspective. I strive to address my clients with dignity, respect and empathy. I want to meet you wherever you are in your life and assist you with taking steps toward healing and reaching your goals.
Professional Experience
I have been providing therapy for the past five years in various settings including home-based, school-based and outpatient. I have worked with a variety of age groups from school age to adults in the later stages of life. I have experience working with individuals, families, and couples. I have a background with addressing concerns related to depression, anxiety, anger, relationships, trauma, parenting, and behavioral issues.
