Feeling overwhelmed and in need of help can bring discomfort to many people. I believe that "it takes a village" to not only help raise children, but also navigate the struggles throughout our lives. I feel it is very important as a clinician to start 'where the client is' and to support and navigate with my clients to work through these struggles. I believe that building trust in the therapeutic relationship provides a solid foundation for a positive, caring and consistent relationship which increases client success. I work hard to create comfort to my clients by providing unconditional positive regard, active listening, and an empathetic environment to assist with one's journey through the struggles of life.
I have earned my Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Ashland University and my Master of Social Work from The Ohio State University. I am a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) and credentialed by the Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. I am also currently a member of the National Association of Social Work (NASW).
I have 14 years of experience in providing outpatient, community mental health and substance use disorder treatment. I am most passionate about working with individuals of all ages, couples and families that may struggle with anger, anxiety, depression, impulsivity, oppositional behaviors, loss and grief, alcohol and substance use disorders and relationship issues.
